FOR TRIBUTE ARTISTS

WELCOME TRIBUTE ARTISTS

On behalf of the 2017 Images Of The King Wold Championship Elvis Tribute Artist Contest I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your interest in participating.  In 2013 Doc Franklin’s original ‘Images of the King’ became part of the ElvisFestival.com series of events and is now produced by Sherry Management, LLC. Sherry Management is the company that produces the Lake George Elvis Festival, the Georgia Elvis Festival, Myrtle Beach Elvis Festival, Ocean City Elvis Festival and the new Images of the King: Las Vegas. We feel both honored and privileged to carry on Doc’s legacy of the very first ETA contest in the world. We plan on building on the events past success and bringing our professional style of production and personal integrity to ‘Elvis Week’.

‘Images’ has moved downtown to the New Daisy Theater on world famous Beale Street, steps away from the Orpheum Theater, the Peabody, Hard Rock Cafe, the Cannon Center and FedEx arenas, BB King’s and all the clubs, stores and restaurants. Over the past three years the theater has been completely renovated.  Click here for updated pictures.  You will be performing and partying right in the heart of all the electricity and action Memphis is famous for. It just doesn’t get any better than this!

We will be running the contest with 3 divisions: Professional, Non-Professional and Youth Division. We are paying out prize money to the top 5 in Professional and Non-Professional Divisions and the top 3 in the Youth Division.

Please see the schedule of events to see what days during Elvis Week the Images of the King contest will take place. We have arranged the event’s schedule as not to overlap with EPE’s Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest, and out of respect for the occasion of Elvis Week, we have no events during the traditional Candle Light Vigil. We will have several evening Showcases and other events throughout the week all backed Change of Habit tribute band.  Your entry fee into the contest will give you and a guest standing room only access to all the events being held at the New Daisy Theater.

The Images of the King contest is open to past winners.  That means the Images of the King World Champions are eligible to compete again although we do ask them to take one year off after winning, as well do at all our other festivals.  We hope this rule change will give many of our past champions the opportunity to be re-introduced to the Images and ElvisFestival.com family.

In addition, we are increasing the prize money for the Professional division.  The Grand prize for the Images of the King World Champion will be $5,000 with the Professional Division’s total prize money equaling $12,500. The total prize money this year is exceeds $15,000.

Competitors will be competing in the preliminary round with tracks.  After the preliminary round the field will be cut and some of the ETAs, joined by ETAs that have qualifies at other Images of the King Preliminary Contests move on to the Semi-Final round to perform with the band.  Following the semi finals there will be another cut and the top five Professional and Non-Professional ETAs and the top three Youth ETAs will move on to theFinals.

We hope you choose participate and help add to the legacy  of the Images of the King World Championship. We look forward to seeing you in Memphis this year. Please see the rest of this web site for schedules, registration forms and much more information.
